Alba de Tormes
Alba de Tormes is a municipality, whose main town has the same name, in the Salamanca Province. The town's population is just over 5,000 and it's well-known for being home to the tomb of Saint Teresa de Jesús.
Her tomb is located in the Carmelite order's Convento de la Anunciación (Convent of hte Anunciation). This conventwas founded by Saint Teresa in the 16th century. Other local monuments include the Castle of the Dukes of Alba, the medievl bridge of the Tormes River, the unfinished Basilica of Saint Teresa, the Church of Santiago, the Church of San Juan, etc.
